Here are a few tips to help you in your job search:

CV! CV! CV!
Recruiters see hundreds of CVs; yours must be professional and stand out. Recruiters want a CV that boasts the right skills and experience. Ensure that your CV is typed; include your contact details, your training and education, skills and work experience. Keep it brief; no more than 3 pages.

Have a Plan
Successful job searching is all about looking in the right places and making a list of contact people, telephone numbers, email addresses, websites and the daily tasks to get you closer to a job. Network! Speak to your friends and family about opportunities they know of.

8-to-5
Remember, your job is to find a job. Wake up every morning and treat each day as if you were going into the office. Follow your plan that sets out what you are going to do about finding a job today!

Expand Your Skills
Find a way to upgrade your skills. In the digital age, basic computer skills and knowledge of popular software packages are critical for most jobs. General office skills and good written and spoken English are essential. Read, read and read some more to develop your vocabulary and pronunciation.

Focus
Don't just send your CV to all and any advertised jobs. You are wasting time and money. Rather focus your job search only on those positions that suit your skills and experience. If you find you are not having success; re-assess and retrain!

Study
A formal qualification is a crucial competitive advantage. Even if you are not able to undertake a formal training programme, commit to lifelong learning. Sometimes this can simply mean reading as much as you can about a subject or doing internet research.

Expand Your Job-Search Radar
Let everyone know you're in the market and keep reminding them! Talk to people; tap into their experience; let them share their insights.

Look for Opportunities
Don't be stuck on one industry. Explore every opportunity. Many entry-level jobs open doors to more exciting careers. Contact Centres offer great entrylevel opportunities across a range of professional disciplines from medical to financial.

Get Experience
Any way you can. Work for a charity organisation or job-shadow, unpaid even. Don't be afraid to learn the ropes and become work wise. When there's a job opening, you will be there to grab it. Remember employers look for Candidates that show initiative!

Don't Decline a Job That's Not Perfect
Get your foot in the door whatever it takes. Then, once you have a job, hold on to it and make the most of the experience and skills you gain. No time in any job is wasted. Many successful people started at the bottom, set goals and map out a long-term path to their ideal career.

Flexi Work … Great Option
Flexi work is a way to get into the job market. You get great benefits and opportunities to develop skills and experience different industries. Remember, you'll need computer, telephone and office administration skills as well as good communication and a positive 'can-do' attitude.

Be Passionate
You can only be great at the things you love. Don't just be a sales assistant - be a passionate sales assistant! Approach any job opportunity with enthusiasm.

Be Brave and Self-Sufficient
Sometimes the best way to get a job is to create one! If you see an entrepreneurial opportunity; don't be afraid to pursue it.
