Internal Sales Supervisor

Role Summary
We are seeking a capable and hands‑on Internal Sales Supervisor strongo manage our internal sales office and ensure efficient, compliant, and customer‑focused operations. The successful candidate will supervise a team of internal sales staff and the receptionist, act as the escalation point for customer queries, and ensure the integrity of pricing, stock controls, and CRM data.
This role is suited to a strong people manager with solid sales administration experience and a high level of attention to detail.Key Responsibilities
Internal Sales Office Management
- Supervise and manage the internal sales office, including four internal sales team members and the receptionist
- Allocate workloads and monitor service levels and turnaround times
- Provide coaching, guidance, and ongoing performance feedback to the team
Sales Controls & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with approved pricing structures, discount policies, and stock‑holding rules
- Monitor orders and sales activity to prevent pricing or stock policy breaches
- Address and resolve internal sales queries relating to pricing and availability
Customer Service & Escalations
- Act as the first point of escalation for customer complaints and high‑level queries
- Resolve issues professionally to maintain customer satisfaction and long‑term relationships
Lead Generation & Pipeline Support
- Proactively source and mine new sales leads using internet research and other relevant platforms
- Ensure all leads are accurately captured and followed up within the CRM system
CRM & Sales Reporting
- Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of all CRM data
- Ensure customer, contact, and opportunity information is correctly loaded and maintained
- Manage feedback and inputs for internal sales and management sales reports
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric); relevant tertiary qualification advantageous
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in internal sales, sales administration, or customer service
- Previous supervisory or team‑lead experience essential
- Strong understanding of pricing controls, discounts, and sales processes
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills
