Job Title: Business Development Executive (Software Sales)

Location: strongouth Africa (with expansion into Africa)

About the Role

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Executive to hunt for new business and grow our client base across South Africa and into the broader African market. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional with a strong background in software sales and a passion for building relationships and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, research, and generate new sales leads through cold calling, email outreach, networking, referrals, social media, and market research.
  • Penetrate new markets and industries to build a consistent pipeline of qualified prospects.
  • Qualify leads by understanding client needs, decision-makers, budgets, and timelines.
  • Identify, develop, and drive sales opportunities for RubiBlue software products across South Africa and Africa.
  • Conduct follow-ups with prospective clients to accurately assess opportunities and understand business requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Engage existing clients to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Development and Support teams to design tailored solutions aligned with client needs.
  • Develop compelling business cases and proposals to influence decision-making and close sales.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations and client visits.
  • Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and industry exhibitions.
  • Contribute to and prepare proposals and tailored client solutions.
  • Continuously refine lead generation strategies to improve conversion rates.
  • Negotiate pricing, rental agreements, and service level contracts.
  • Meet or exceed sales and pipeline targets.
  • Ensure accurate processing of signed contracts, client onboarding, and billing setup.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation post-sale.
  • Maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer experience and retention.
  • Proactively resolve client concerns to ensure ongoing satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Relevant IT diploma or degree (advantageous).
  • Sales and/or Marketing diploma or degree (advantageous).
  • Proven experience in software sales is essential.
